PUTTING ENGLAND RUGBY STAR TOM CURRY TO THE TEST IN THE BREMONT WORKSHOP

Taking a brief step away from training, England forward and Bremont Brand Ambassador, Tom Curry, took the time to visit the RFU’s Official Timing Partner to try his hand at watch making. See how Tom got on here in putting together the Bremont Rose.

As a self-confessed watch geek, we were thrilled to welcome Tom to Bremont’s Headquarters in Henley-on-Thames and were incredibly impressed with his natural aptitude for the craft. Tom was a dab hand at picking up new skills as he was put to the test by Bremont Watch Maker Luke Mitchell, with the support of brand Co-Founder Giles English.

Bremont is now firmly established as the Official Timing Partner of the RFU & Twickenham stadium, having launched the Bremont Rose watch just prior to this year’s Guinness 6 Nations Championship, sadly cut short by Coronavirus.

Discover the Bremont Rose

While momentum gathers for a return to action, hopefully some time in November with the Autumn Internationals, plans are afoot to celebrate a truly remarkable anniversary, the 150th year since the inauguration of the RFU way back in 1871 when they played Scotland.

We very much hope to see a speedy return to normality when Tom can get back out on the pitch and show us what he does best… driving the England pack onwards, hopefully to victory. In the meantime, the Rose watch can be viewed online or in a Bremont Boutique near you, the tangible result of a partnership that Giles English sums up rather nicely here:

“As we’re bringing more and more of our manufacturing capabilities over to the UK and have long since been training up our own workforce of watch makers on British shores, we welcome the chance to support another English institution, particularly in the run up to the RFU’s 150th anniversary in 2021. Rugby is an incredibly tough sport, steeped in English tradition. Seeing Bremont timekeeping preside over the action at the iconic home of British Rugby, Twickenham, is something rather special.”
