As Official Timing and Watch Partner to Williams Racing, Bremont has released a special limited edition box set complete with an exclusive Williams Racing experience. The parallels between the two British engineering businesses, each with their own British heritage, and both based in the Oxfordshire countryside are the foundations on which this partnership was built and certainly what makes it an undeniable fit.

    Description

Included in the Bremont Williams Racing Box Set are both the FW44 Chrono and the FW44 Classic timepieces. The design of the 43mm DLC finished FW44 Chrono very much embodies Bremont’s maxim of being ‘Tested Beyond Endurance’, bringing together high performance and extreme durability. Complementing the sporty FW44 Chrono is an elegant and somewhat more retro feeling 40mm timepiece, the FW44 Classic. The unisex, more compact piece comes in a satin finished stainless steel Bremont Trip-Tick® case and pays homage to Williams Racing with its darker ‘Oxford Blue’ pantone used on the dial and extending to its nubuck leather strap.

Each set comes with a once in a lifetime ‘Race Day’ experience hosted at Grove, the official home of Williams Racing. Taking place during the 2022 Singapore and Mexico Grand Prix race weekends respectively, each box set owner and a guest will enjoy an immersive Williams Racing Formula One experience. Guests will be taken on a guided tour of the race team HQ and the Williams Racing Museum to understand the team’s illustrious history, being one of only three Constructors to win over 100 Grand Prix races. Furthermore, guests will also experience the ‘Mission Control’ room where the UK based technical team review Grand Prix race metrics live and liaise with the team on location at each race venue, supporting the drivers and pit crew. The ‘Mission Control’ experience offers a behind the scenes view of the Williams Racing technical team at work.

    REINVIGORATING THE BRITISH WATCH INDUSTRY

It is not completely unexpected to find that the world sets its time by Greenwich and not by Geneva. Whilst Geneva and Switzerland may be producing the vast majority of luxury wristwatches today, this certainly wasn’t always the case. In 1800 half of the world's watches, around 200,000 pieces a year, were produced on British shores by British watchmakers, which is an incredible statistic. Another wonderful statistic is that probably over 60-70% of the innovation in a modern day mechanical watch has come from Britain, including every major escapement design. Bremont's mission has always been to play a part in bringing back watchmaking to British shores.
